Mobile Calling OS Widgets

HubSpot's mobile users can now quickly access CRM contacts and call them by adding two new OS widgets to their iOS and Android home screens. One widget provides access to call tasks due today (‘Call tasks’), and the other to recently called contacts (‘Recent calls’).

To make it faster to get to the HubSpot mobile app, has added the ability to add a shortcut from the lock screen for iOS users.

To add a HubSpot widget on iOS and Android, please follow the next steps:

On a home screen, touch and hold an empty space:

  • Android:
    • Tap + (top left hand corner)
    • Tap ‘Home screen widgets’
    • Search for "HubSpot"
    • Select either the "Call tasks" or "Recent calls" widgets
    • Tap on 'Add'
  • iOS:
    • Tap on 'Edit' (top left hand corner)
    • Tap on 'Add Widget'
    • Search for "HubSpot"
    • Select either the "Call tasks" or "Recent calls" widgets
    • Tap on 'Add Widget'

To add the HubSpot direct access icon to the phone's lock screen, please follow the next steps:

  • iOS
    • On the lock screen, touch and hold until the Customize button appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap 'Lock screen'
    • Tap on the area below the HH:SS
    • Scroll down and look for the "HubSpot" icon
    • Tap on it

Mobile Chat SDK

The Mobile Chat SDK allows you to integrate HubSpot chat into any iOS or Android app, providing fast, efficient, and empathetic in-app customer support. With the Mobile Chat SDK, you can:

  • Easily integrate HubSpot chat into any iOS or Android app with minimal coding to deliver a support experience that feels contextual and native to your app.
  • Offer an in-app self-service experience by integrating customer agents, the knowledge base, bots, and other powerful HubSpot tools into the chat.
  • Configure and customize your app's chatflow using the same familiar interface.
  • Capture essential customer information to resolve issues more efficiently.

Rename 'Tickets' Label in the Customer Portal

A new editable text field that allows customers to rename the "Tickets" label shown on the ticket home page. You can now update the “Tickets” label in your Customer Portal to better match your business terminology. Instead of being locked into the word “Tickets”, you can rename it to something more relevant, like Orders, Cases, Requests, or Test Results, giving your clients a more relevant experience.

  1. Navigate to the General tab in Customer Portal settings.
  2. Make changes in the "Display name for Tickets" field.
  3. If you have any forms attached to your portal, navigate to the Template tab in Customer Portal settings
  4. In the Forms section of the Template page, update your "Form Header Text" label to ensure that this reflects your new header. Otherwise, the default header text will remain "File Support Form".

Save changes to update your Customer Portal.

When your clients log into their portal, they will see the updated label reflecting your company's terminology.

Notes:

  • Changes may take a few minutes to reflect on the portal.
  • The underlying ticketing structure and workflows will remain the same. New submissions will still create tickets, and your users will continue to track their status through the portal.
  • Tickets will remain the default label if no updates are made.

Create reports from CRM index pages Beta ending

At this time, the platform is going to be sunsetting the "Create Report" Beta for the CRM Index page.

Thank you for participating in the Create Reports from CRM Beta!

HubSpot has learned a great deal from this Beta and are excited to keep moving toward more integrations of the CRM Index and Reporting features. Check out the new Index page report view Beta to keep up with the latest developments.

How does it work?

All portals will automatically be affected by this change upon sunset. However, no action is required.

Association Permission Updates

Introducing a new permission that enables admins to set whether a user or team can add, edit, and remove associations on existing records. HubSpot starts broad with a permission where a user can either add/edit/remove associations or they can’t. The permission will apply across all object types with records.

Users will need edit access and the new permission to be able to make changes to associations on an existing record.

The platform will introduce two changes simultaneously:

  1. Require edit access to be able to add, edit, or remove associations on existing records. Note: this means that a small set of customers who currently only have view access and are adjusting associations will lose access
  2. Introduce the new permission and it enable it for all existing users. In order to add, edit, or remove associations, users will need both the new permission and edit access for at least one side of the association. If admins want to prevent a user from being able to edit associations on a record, they can disable the new permission.

Once the new permission is introduced, users will need both the permission to edit a record and the new association permission. If an admin wants a user to be able to edit the properties on a record but not the associations, they will be able to turn the association permission off.

Index table contextual actions

You can now easily sort, freeze, add, and remove columns right on the Index table.

This feature enables you to sort, pin, add, and remove columns directly on the table itself without needing to open a separate editor, eliminating extra steps and saving time.

How does it work?

To use this feature, navigate to the object's index page and click on the column header to access the contextual menu.

From the menu:

  • Click "Sort" to sort the column ascending or descending.
  • Click "Add" to insert a new column to the right of the selected column or click "Remove" to remove the selected column.
  • Click "Freeze" to keep the column visible as you scroll right.

Browse & Search Knowledge Base in the Widget Help Tab

HubSpot has upgraded the chat widget with a new Help tab that gives users direct access to the knowledge base—no more jumping to external websites for answers! Inside the Help tab, your users can:

  • Browse Categories: Explore knowledge base categories right in the chat widget
  • Search Articles: Find what you need with the built-in search function
  • Find Trending Articles: See what other users are reading with trending article recommendations

This update makes self-service support much smoother by keeping everything in one place, making helpful information available exactly when users need it.

How do I set it up?

This feature can be enabled independently for each chatflow. Simply navigate to the Build tab in your chatflow settings, and toggle on "Enable browse and search."

When selecting the knowledge base to display in your widget, legacy knowledge bases will be tagged as "Search Only," as browsing is not supported in legacy knowledge bases. Please make sure to migrate to the new knowledge base to enable the full browse and search experience. (The migration tool to new knowledge bases will be available to all customers in the coming weeks.)

It is also important to note that the Help tab is currently not available for rules-based chatbots. Please make sure to select either the Live Agent or Customer Agent chatflow to enable this feature.

Basic Record Cloning

Introducing record cloning, users can now create a new record based on an existing record. Any of the properties and associations that are configured in the create form of the object may be included in the new record.

All or some parts of records may be reusable. Today, users are burdened with manual work of copying information from one record to another because they can’t duplicate records. With this update, users can now duplicate CRM records (i.e., Contact, Company, Deal, Ticket, Custom Objects, Appointments, Listings, Services, and Courses) from their record page. Cloning is an essential function that saves time and minimizes the risk of mistakes from manual input.

How does it work?

When viewing a record, users with create permission for the object will find a new option in the Actions dropdown. The Clone action initiates the record creation with properties and associations pre-filled from the source record.

Preview and Customize Quote Emails

You can now customize and preview quote emails before sending them to buyers. You have the option to either send the email directly, or copy the quote link to send it separately.

Sending quote emails to buyers should be fast and simple. The process is now even easier—you can send emails directly to buyers without copying and pasting a link.

How does it work?

  • Navigate to Quotes
  • Commerce --> Quote --> Create Quote
  • Once the quote is created, you will be prompted to email the quote directly to your customer as an attachment
  • You still have the option to share the quote link with the customer

You can personalize the email body and send the quote directly from the platform. You also have the option to CC other recipients and select the email address you wish to use for sending the quote.

You can also switch to the other tab to copy the link or download the PDF, enabling you to share the quote with the customer the way you prefer.

    1. Select CLIPS as one of your content types to create video shorts.
  5. Edit the attributes of the content types you’re creating to customize the outputs. Pro-tip: the more specific your “objective,” the more personalized your content will be!
  6. Hit Generate.
  7. When reviewing your clips, you can select "save and edit in app" to review them in thenew video clip editing app, where you can change the length of each clip to include more or less content, add captions, change the aspect ratio, and more.

Edit a Video Thumbnail

When creating thumbnails for your videos, you can now select a video frame and edit it directly using HubSpot's built-in image editing tools or Adobe Express.

Thumbnails are key to grabbing attention and boosting video engagement. With this update, you can quickly create eye-catching, on-brand thumbnails directly from your video file in HubSpot.

How does it work?

To edit your video thumbnail, navigate to the video file you’d like to edit (Library > Files).

  • Select Details beside the video file name.
  • Select Change thumbnail.

  • Select Crop or Edit with Adobe Express.

Once you've saved changes, visitors will now see the edited thumbnail for your embedded videos:

AI-Powered A/B Testing for Landing Pages

Optimize your landing pages faster and with greater confidence using the new AI-assisted A/B testing feature. When creating page variants, you can now leverage AI to generate alternative content suggestions and implement recommendations with a single click.

This enhancement makes A/B testing more accessible and effective, eliminating the guesswork of what elements to test. Let AI help you discover the best-performing version of your landing page while maintaining complete creative control.

How does it work?

1. In the content editor of your landing page, click the Test icon in the left sidebar and select Run A/B Test with AI.

2. In the left column, select a recommendation. The text for the new variation will appear under Suggested Content, while the original text will be labeled Original Content. Click Create variant in the top right.

3. Review the content of the new variant, then click Publish in the top right.

Phone number property validations

You’ll now be able to set validation rules for phone number properties. Additionally, you will be able to set a default country code for phone number properties that will automatically be applied to updates to phone numbers via Import.

Improving the quality of phone numbers is important to ensure that reps aren’t calling ‘junk’ phone numbers or doing the work of finding the right phone number themselves. Phone number that contain random text or are missing country codes make it more difficult to contact customers.

Validations will allow you to enforce consistency and quality of your phone number data. Additionally, a default country code will make it easy to bring in valid phone numbers that are missing a country code - HubSpot will prepend country codes automatically.

How does it work?

Objects>Settings>Properties>Edit Property

1. Phone number validation rule

  • The phone number validation rule ensures that the property value matches E.164 format, which is the international standard for phone numbers. Specifically, this validation ensures that the phone number:
    • Include a valid country code, starting with a plus sign
    • Match number formatting for the chosen country code
    • Contain between 4 and 15 digits
    • Contain only numbers and a leading plus sign (+)
  • Phone numbers will continue to be saved without formatting. In HubSpot, numbers will display using the regional format. For example, +1(888) 482-7768 would be saved as +18884827768 but displayed as +1(888) 482-7768.
  • You can apply this validation rule to both default and custom phone number properties.
  • Once you apply the validation rule, users will no longer be able to ‘remove phone number formatting’ from phone number properties when editing in the CRM.
  • The validation accepts extensions in the following format: +18884827768 ext 123.

2. Default country code

  • The default country code can be used to validate phone numbers which do not contain a country code. This makes it easier to bring phone numbers into your portal that may not have a country code, but which are valid with the right country code.
  • To use this feature, you must select a country code.
    • If the phone number is valid with the country code selected, this country code will be added before the value is saved.
    • For example, if the property Mobile Phone Number has a default country code set to United States, when a value such as (888) 482-7768 is imported, this value will be validated as +1 (888) 482-7768 and the country code +1 will be prepended upon being saved to the CRM.
  • At this stage of the beta, this feature applies to updates to phone number properties via Import only.
  • You must apply a validation rule to a given property in order to set a default country code.
  • The default country code does not prevent phone numbers with country codes that are different from the default country code from being entered.
